A Journey Through The Bluebells

23/04/26

During the Spring, fields of bluebells erupt across the UK, blanketing forest floors tenderly with their vibrant, violet colour. Wandering these floors has become a favourite past time of mine, each year I feel completely astounded by how beautiful of a spectacle they create. What makes exploring the bluebells even more exciting, are what unexpected things you might find amongst them. On this particular day, I followed a pair of Mallards enjoying the calm and quiet of the woodland, eventually finding refuge amongst the flowers.

Meandering down twisting woodland paths, these mallards are looking for the perfect spot for some much needed respite.

It’s important to look in all directions; you never know what you might come across!

It appears the female has her eye on somewhere rather special…

Is this the perfect spot?

I think it might be! Both mallards take a moment to check their surroundings, before settling in amongst the bluebells for a much-needed snooze.
