A Little More About Me

My love for animals and wildlife started where many people’s do, as a child. From the very get go, I had a complete fascination with seals, as well as wanting to connect and interact with any animal I could find. As an adult, my love for wildlife has grown into a deep passion for conservation, and wanting to protect the animals around me in any way I can. Delving into the world of wildlife photography has given me a renewed appreciation for the beauty, complexity, and surprising nature of wildlife.

Like all wildlife photographers, I am a true nature lover at heart, and love frolicking around in the outdoors at any chance I can get. Combining my passion for the outdoors, with my love of animals, has been a dream come true. Wildlife photography has taught me to be patient, trust my instincts, and to be an ever-evolving student of wildlife.

My favourite animal to photograph has to be seals (of course), but I absolutely love taking pictures of birds as well. Learning more about them, in particular getting to know all of their unique calls, is one of my favourite parts of being out in nature. I particularly enjoy wetland habitats, due to their incredible biodiversity.

Although I love to explore and learn about wildlife through photography, I also believe it is extremely important to give wildlife the respect they deserve. This often means turning down an amazing shot, leaving earlier than expected, or simply backing away. Educating yourself on best practice is essential, and learning about these best practices is what it means to be a wildlife photographer: to catch a glimpse of their lives, not invade it.

Thank you so much for visiting my website, I hope you enjoy looking at animals as much as I do! If you’d like to reach out to me, please send me a message through the contact page.
